Vacancy - Fixed Term Associate Secretary to the Senior Tutors' Committee (2017-18)  

The Senior Tutors’ Committee is currently seeking a temporary Associate Secretary for the period 1 October 2017 to 30 September 2018 to provide cover for Dr David Holburn during his sabbatical leave. 

The Associate Secretary’s role is to support the Secretary of the Senior Tutors’ Committee in carrying out the Committee’s business so that the Colleges work effectively together with the University on matters of undergraduate and graduate education, welfare and admissions.  Dr Holburn has particular responsibility for undergraduate admissions and widening participation matters.

Candidates would normally be expected to have extensive tutorial experience in Cambridge, and some recent experience of the role of Senior Tutor. A role description can be downloaded here.

Although stipendiary arrangements are flexible, the post may involve either an additional stipend or secondment of up to 20% from a College or University post.  The pensionable salary is based on a level equivalent to step 68 of the University’s scale of stipends, which is currently £68,834 for a full-time appointment.
